Their music combines medieval
instruments, with electric guitar, bass and synth.
Their first album “The Lick On
The Tip Of An Envelope Yet To Be Sent,” was released in 2005 and appeared in
the Top 50 albums of the year in Mojo,
“Thought Becomes Reality” is
their third album and comes from their own label Mythical Cake.
Most of it is a concept album
about the end of Earth and the journey to a new planet, however the second
half is about other topics.
The first track "Transmuting Power" introduces as to the the concept with
humorist echoey vocals ethereal
harmonies and dreamy synths.
Guide Our Way again the lyrics are related to the concept
with haunting flute, vintage synths and the backing vocals sound similar to the
Space Goats.
Michael's Garden" is another great song with unusual
vocals and strange lyrics.
Trotto is a Medieval dance known to many European countries.
It come to England from a fourteenth-century manuscript.
Circulus version has electric
guitar, flute and powered drums with wah-wah
guitar effect in the outro.
Packington's Pound is a medieval song originally written
from Francis Cutting (c.1550–1595/6) he is among the earliest English lute
composers whose names are known. Again their version is similar style to the
previews song (Trotto) with electric
guitar, flute bass and drums.
Overall the other half is as good as the first one, it combines medieval melodies
with modern sounds.
